RESTRAINING ORDER LIFTED AGAINST MUSKOGEE HOSPITAL
According to a spokesperson for District Judge Mike Norman said this week that the judge has decided to lift a restraining order against Muskogee Regional Medical Center. The judge said the temporary lifting would allow attorneys to take the dispute into mediation. The restraining order was imposed after several doctors objected to being placed on emergency call at the hospital. The order has prevented the hospital from posting an Emergency Department call schedule for general surgery. A spokesperson for Muskogee Regional commented about the judge's ruling saying that now this will allow the hospital to have a general surgery call schedule during the month of September. The judge in lifting the restraining order is hoping the hospital and surgeons will settle the issues that led to the legal dispute.
