Fort Gibson School Superintendent Derald Glover has announced his retirement effective at the end of the 2018 school year.
Glover said he has accepted a job as assistant director with the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators.
“I’ll be in a position to help train new school superintendents and work with existing superintendents on legislation,” Glover said.
He said the decision was made over the weekend.
The Fort Gibson Board of Education will have a special meeting at noon Thursday to accept the retirement and plan a superintendent search.
